Corporal Laurence Frederick Thompson was the son of Samuel and Daisy Thompson & the husband of Margaret Agnes Thompson of Evandale, Tasmania

He became ill while at Number 4 Flying Training School in Perth and he was discharged from the RAAF in November 1942 in Adelaide where he passed away in December 1943
