Kenneth (born in 1915) was the eldest of two sons of Henry Lionel Anderson (born 1887 in Bunbury, WA) and Valborg (Vally) Caroline Jorgensen (born 1892 in Melbourne, Victoria). Henry was in the Australian Army from 1910 to 1945, and Kenneth and his brother spent their younger years moving around Western Australia from Fremantle to Bunbury to Fort Albany.
Kenneth enlisted in the Australian Army and was at the RAA Barracks in Fremantle WA in 1936. In 1937 he was posted to Larrakeya Barracks in Darwin, NT and enlisted there for service in WWII as Sergeant (Service No: 5168/WX35561) with 9 Heavy Battery RAA.
Kenneth remained in the Army, deploying to Perth, WA by 1949 and retired there in 1966.
Brother Keith served in the RAAF as a Leading Aircraftman (Service No: 81410) from 1942 to 1945
