Private Albert William Alexander Walton (Service No:W75222) served in the ACMF with 13th Moora Battalion (WA) VDC from 12 July 1942 to 15 October 1945.
Albert was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1909, second of six children of Albert Henry Blyth Walton (b1886 in Blyth, South Australia) and Agnes Jean Margaret Crystal Easton Fowler (b1879 in Edinburgh, Scotland) - Agnes immigrated in 1880, arriving in Adelaide SA on board the Soratta. Albert Snr (a Farmer) and Agnes married in Adelaide in 1908, and lived in Snowtown, Barunga Gap and Percytown, where they raised their family and Albert Snr was a Farmer. In the mid 1930s Albert and Agnes moved with their family to Beverley, WA where Albert Snr was a Farmer at Emu Creek, and later in Ardath, York.
Albert worked as a Farmer at Emu Creek in Beverley with his father, before moving to Watheroo in 1940, where he was a Farm Hand in 1942 when he married Daphne Ellen Longman (b1915 in Watheroo, WA). Albert and Daphne settled at Wong Wong via Watheroo, where they raised their family and Albert was a Farmer. In 1980 they retired to Perth, where Daphne died in 1987 and Albert in 1988.
