Private John Shuttle Pearce (Service No:W74099) served in the ACMF with 10th Battalion (WA) VDC from 18 April 1942 to 15 October 1945.

John was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1920, youngest of four children of Frederick John Pearce (b1882 in Melbourne, Victoria) and his second wife Amelia Lavinia Shutter (b1881 in Angle Vale, South Australia). Frederick was a Farmer in Sunshine, Dumbleyung, WA in 1914 when he and Amelia married in Enfield, South Australia. They settled in Sunshine, Dumbleyung where they raised their family and Frederick was a Farmer.

John was a Farmer in Sunshine, Dumbleyung in 1949 when he married Enid May Brown (b1929 in Dumbleyung, WA). John and Enid settled in Sunshine where they raised their family and John was a Farmer. John died in 2006.
