The eldest of three sons Norman was born in Paradise, South Australia. Norman's parents were Albert James Page (b1882 in Oaklands, South Australia) and Bessie Lloyd Kenack (b1884 in Edwardstown, South Australia). Albert (a Labourer) and Bessie married in Adelaide, South Australia in 1912 and in the early 1920s the family moved to Perth, WA where they lived in Welshpool. Albert worked as a Labourer.
In 1941 Norman was working as a Storehand in Welshpool, WA when he enlisted in the Australian Army. He was a Private (Service No:WX11241) attached to 2/11 Infantry Battalion when he was Discharged in February 1946. Norman's brothers also served in WWII and both were KIA - Keith Aubrey (Private; Service No:WX7492) and Ronald Arthur (Private; Service No:WX4934).
Norman was back in Perth WA in 1947 when he married Betsy Jane Wilson (b1922 in Kalgoorlie, WA) - Betsy had also served in WWII (Private; Service No:WF90362). Norman and Betsy settled in Banksiadale in Peel WA, where Norman was a Labourer. Following Betsy's death in 1960, he remarried Ellen Catherine O'Rourke (b1937 in Antrim, Ireland) - Ellen emigrated in 1947, arriving in Fremantle WA on board the Asturius. Norman and Ellen settled in Mandurah where Norman worked as a Labourer before settling n Collie WA where Norman worked as a Benchman. Ellen died in 1976 and Norman in 1977.
