Private Harold Edward Hounslow (Service No:S69524) served in the ACMF from 25 March 1942 to 10 August 1944 with 3 Battalion VDC. Brother Max served in the RAAF.

Born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1907, Eddie was eldest of two children (sons) of John James Hounslow (b1875 in Magill, South Australia) and Edith Emily Jane Sparnon (b1882 in Minlaton, South Australia). John (a Gardener) and Edith married in 1906 in Adelaide, where they settled and raised their family and John worked as a Gardener.

Eddie was working as a Greengrocer in 1939 in Adelaide, where he married Sabina (Dorothy) Ann Morris (b1902 in Wallaroo, South Australia). Eddie and Dorothy settled in Adelaide, where they raised their family and Eddie was a Greengrocer. Dorothy died in 1995 and Eddie in 1996.
