William played 5 games for WAFC from 1912 to 1914. He made his debut on 6 May 1912 and his service to the club was acknowledged in the club’s Annual Report of that year.
Biographical details:
William left Adelaide on board HMAT A36 Boonah on 22 October 1918 and with his unit was sent to France on 18 November, where he served until he spent a short period at Weymouth, England, prior to returning to Australia on the Euripides on 6 September 1919, disembarking on 18 October. He was discharged on 4 November 1919. William died on 19 March 1966.
