George Smith Stephen was a 41-year-old man with 4 children. Their names were Jamie, Abiy, Edwin and Damien. He had a wife named Margret Baker. He originated from Blackheath England and was 5 foot 6 and a half with blue eyes and brown hair and he was 72kg. His family lived in Hopetown Avenue, Chicago, South Australia, which is also now known as Kilburn. His job was a boilermaker.
George enlisted into the 50th Battalion on July 22, 1915, and he was ranked as a Private. George served in France on the Western Front. George made it out alive but was sadly mentally and medically unfit due to all the things that happened. He was taken to the hospital and went to Denly Wellington. After that he went back home to Australia to reunite and see his family.
