Roy Charles Harrington (1897-1982), Labourer and solider was born in Moorook, South Australia in 1897. He was the son of John Harrington and Mary Ann Harrington and married Ivy Amelia Winifred in 1921.

Roy embarked on the HMAT A2 Geelong on the 18th of November, 1915 with the 32nd Battalion. Roy's war service included Egypt and the Western Front. He was wounded in action on the 5th of November, 1916. He was awarded a British War Medal, a Victory Medal and a 1914-1915 Star. He returned to Australia on the 13th of April 1919. He was discharged on the 20th of July 1919. He passed on the 6th of November 1982, age 85.
