Add my storyBiography contributed by Charmaine Breuer
Thelma Grace Edwards was the second daughter to Violet Grace Johansen (Dunn) and Jorgan Christian Johansen, her sister being Jean. Joe as she was know to the people of Port Pirie was an energetic generous woman. She only lasted 6 months in the army due to her severe skin condition that could not tolerate the khaki uniform. Even with such a short stint her back showed severe scarring due to the intolerable uniform that caused bleeding rashes when she donned it.
Joe married William James Edwards a fireman. He loved her unconditionally. He died of MND.
Joe also loved her husband very much. Joe was a tireless giving woman who worked tirelessly to help people less fortunate than her.
She had two children Charmaine Breuer and Kaylene Cole. Both who adored and loved her.
