Taken Away.
I am telling this story as it was told to me by Aunty Joan Marshall from Mount Isa,
When Great Granny Norah Lyons (Peter's Mother) was in Hospital she said to Aunty Joan, "I want you to find my son." Aunty Joan said what do you mean? Granny said, "he was taken away when he was 4 years old he would be 84 now, and he was given to station owners around the Boulia area." Granny never saw him again after that.
Not long after that conversation, Peter was on his way to Boulia to be reunited with his mother (Granny) who was 104 years of age.

Biography
Peter was born to Norah Marshall and Lion George (Old Lyon) about 1905 and is thought to have been born in the Eastern Aranda Area of the Northern Territory. Peter was taken away at the age of 4 and he wasn't seen again by family until he was 84 years old.
Peter worked for Tom Kruse doing the mail run and other jobs between Birdsville and Adelaide, and he is mentioned in the book "Mailman of the Birdsville Track".
Peter returned to Boulia (Qld) for the first time in 80 years, back in September 1986, where he was reunited with his family.
