Son of John O'Neill and Sarah Green formerly O'Neill nee McCluney of Toodyay, WA.
Brother of Frederick Cluney O'Neil who returned to Australian on 26 December 1919 having served with the Australian Motor Transport Section.
Commenced return to Australia on 17 July 1919 aboard HT Dunluce Castle disembarking on 17 August 1919
