3 Apr 1916: Transferred AIF WW1, Private, 56th Infantry Battalion, Not clear from Service Record when rank had changed to Driver however, reverted back to Private on 4th June 1916.
19 Jun 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 5137, 56th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on HMT Huntsend from Alexandria, Egypt on 19th June 1916, disembarking MArseilles, France on 29th June 1916 to join British Expeditionary Force.
9 Oct 1916: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 5137, 56th Infantry Battalion, Killed in action.
