Son of Richard Uren and Mary J. Uren of North Terrace, Boulder, WA.
11 March 1915 - enlisted at Boulder with the 28th Battalion and with the rank of Private.
31 October 1915 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Aeneas disembarking on 26 November 1915
Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal
25 January 1916 - discharged at the 5th Military District as medically unfit
Husband of Florence May Uren. Richard and Florence married in the Registry Office, Adelaide, SA on 7 March 1919
