My Dad
My father Thomas Frank Donohue was the 2nd son of Patrick John and Nellie May Donohue, of Cross Roads, North Yelta, South Australia on the Yorke Peninsula. Dad was born on the 21st June 1919 he had 1 brother and 6 sisters, his brother William (Bill) served in the 2nd/14th Division in the Northern Territory and New Guinea. Dad was stationed in Melbourne, Victoria, where he met our mother Unice Agnes Condie who was also in the services. They were married in 1943 and had 3 children 2 girls and a son Michael who later served in Vietnam. I am the eldest child of Thomas Frank and Unice Agnes Donohue. I was born in 1945 and my brother Michael in 1948 and our sister Sharyn in 1956. I can remember trips to South Australia to see Dad's family and the fun times we had as at that time there was no electricity or water where my grand parents lived. Dad was always there for us as we grow and it was and still is a very sad loss when he passed away in 1979. He was a much loved Pop to my 3 boys who remember with love and many happy memories of their time they had with him.
