Private Ronald John Hall (Service No:S21211) enlisted in the ACMF on 18 September 1941 with 27 Australian Infantry Battalion, and served in Darwin NT (15 December 1942 - 28 August 1943 and 25 January 1946 to 30 May 1946) with 28 and 29 Australian Works Coys. Private Hall was attached to 27 Infantry Battalion at Discharge on 11 June 1946.

Jack was born in Magill, South Australia in 1921, third of four children of Edward John Hall (b1892 in Magill, South Australia) and Myrtle May Eves (b1891 in Magill, South Australia). Edward and Myrtle married in 1912 in Magill, where they settled and raised their family and Edward worked as a Horseman.

Jack worked in Magill as a Labourer and Cellar Hand before enlisting in the Army in 1941. Following his Discharge from the Army, in 1946 in Magill he married Mayford (Maisie) Sylvia Marshall (b1922 in Norwood, South Australia). Jack and Maisie settled in Adelaide, where they raised their family and Jack worked as a Cellarman and Wool Sorter. Maisie died in 1974 and Jack died in 2004.
