Yodeller, Joff Rowntree comes from the land at Dowlingville on middle Yorkes Peninsula. During the war Mr. Rowntree was in an Army entertainment unit, and saw a great deal of army life in this capacity. A few years ago he entered for the "Amateur Hour" over the Australia wide radio network and was successful in carrying off the honours for that session. Later on he was asked to enter in the session that was presented as "National Fair" and was well received. For some time the Star Theatre Circuit engaged him for items in their theatres in the metropolis of Adealide and in the country theatres. Mr Rowntree accompanies his singing with his steel guitar.
