Adalbert 'Albert' Joachim Haaren was born on 6 August 1915 in Norwood, South Australia, to Johanna Ferdinanda Leuck, age 36, and Captain Heinrich 'Henry' Haro Luderus Haaren, age 45.
Albert married Melva Dorothy Campbell in South Australia on 25 May 1935 when he was 19 years old. They had three children in 10 years. They lived in Mount Pleasant, South Australia in a thatched roof house.
Adalbert 'Albert' Joachim Haaren served in the military on 19 October 1944 in South Australia when he was 29 years old. He embarked for New Guinea as a soldier in WWII.In 1945 Albert served in New Guinea, Bocas del Toro, Panama, then returned from New Guinea to Australia at the end of WWII
Albert was awarded the 1939/45 Star, the Pacific Star War Medal, the Australian Service Medal
He died on 17 February 2006 at the age of 90, and his ashes were interred next to his beloved wife in Tungkillo Cemetery, South Australia
