Son of Mrs A and the late Anson BLOOR, of Stafforshire, England. Married with 3 children Anson was residing at 14 Torrens Avenue, New Hindmarsh. Educated in Staffordshire England, he was interested in and followed soccer and was also fond of gardening. A Builder in civilian life he worked in this trade in and around Adelaide for several years. He was a member of the Militia for 1 1/2 years and enlisted in October 1939. His father served in the First 5th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment in the Great War and died of wounds in June 1917.
