Son of Athlestane Charles Oliver of C/- Vickers Ltd, Barrow on Furness, Sheffield, England and Ada Helena Oliver nee Orchard (deceased) formally of Eumundi, QLD.

Commenced return to Australia on 6 May 1919 aboard HT Kaiser-i-Hind disembarking on 19 June 1919 at Sydney for onward travel to Brisbane.
