Son of Robert Arthur ROSENTHAL of 7 Edmund Street, Norwood, SA.  Educated at Norwood Public School, he followed sport and played football.  In civilian life was a wicker worker at Thamm's Factory, Norwood and enlisted in January 1942.  He trained at Warradale.  His father fought in the Great War
