Son of Richard William TISHER and Hilda Sarah nee BEEKEN of 2 Cockburn Street, Port Pirie, SA.  Husband of Elsie TISHER of 83 Francis Street, West End, Townsville, Qld. Educated at Port Pirie West School he was a baker in civilian life.  Enlisted in July 1942.  His father served in both wars.
