Son of Mr and Mrs Leah PRITCHARD of 9 Gray Avenue, Welland South, SA.

Educated at Welland and Thebarton Technical Schools, he also attended Business Schools.  Fon dof reading and very keen on dancing in civilian life he worked as a labourer at the Australian Sheet Metal Company.  Enlisted in January 1942 and trained at Wayville.
