Frederick Charles Cook was born on 25 June 1922 in Prospect, South Australia. He worked as a labourer and lived in Kilburn (formerly Chicago), Port Adelaide, and Prospect. His mum was Margaret Cook and he was married to Margaret Cook had a son, Wayne Cook. On 7 September 1942, at the age of 23 years and 3 months, he enlisted. He was recorded as being 5 feet 4¾ inches tall, with a medium complexion and blue eyes. Ferederick served with the 2nd AIF within Australia and Morotai in the Pacific
Frederick later passed away on 12 January 1997 at the age of 75 years old.
