Son of Mr F and the late Mrs BENSON of 109 Welland Avenue, Welland, SA.  Educated in Victoria he was keen on football.  In civilian life he worked as a steward at the Commercial Travellers' Club for several years.  Enlisting in the A.M.F. in September 1940.  His father-in-law Q.M.S. W.A. Farrow is an Instructor at Tanunda.
