Born 4th December 1902 in Adelaide, son of William Bailey and Ethel Winifred Hebbs.
Married Florence Lillian Packham on 15th April 1925 and had five children from the marriage.
He enlisted on 19th June 1942 at Largs South Australia enlisting at Fort Largs with the Australian Coastal Artillery where he became the Officer in Charge during WW2.
During this time became Warrant Officer and was discharged on 15th April 1946 .
Clarence William Methuen Bailey died 7th January 1979 in Woodville and was buried in Cheltenham Cemetery,
