WW2

Mannum RSL and the local community held a service at the Mannum War Memorial to commenorate the end of WW2. As a part of the ceremony the local Member for Barker electorate Mr Tony Pasin MP presented commemorative medallions to the last 6 surviving WW2 veterans of the 756 personnel who enlisted for duty.

The members were:
Keith Charles Lowe - now 97 years old born 29 May 1923 who served with the 75th AA Battery Battalion at Morotai NG.
John Murray Chandler - now 101.5 years old born 21 Jan 1919 who served with 4th Field Battery Battalion in New Guinea.
Erica Anna Temme - now 95 years old born 28 Dec 1924 who served with 21 Aust Gen Hosp.
Rhonda Frick - now 95 years old who served with #6 Service Flying Training School at Mallala.
Irene Cowley - now 95 years old who served at HMAS Rushcutter.
June Hunter - now 95 years old who served at #1 Flying Boat Repair Depot at Lake Boga.
