Son of Mr and Mrs Alfred Hurtle PARKER of Port Pirie, SA.  Darcy was married with one son and residing at 10 Agnes Street Port Pirie when he enlisted in May 1942.  Educated at Port Pirie Public and High Schools, in civilian life he worked in his father's business, H.H. Parker, Butcher of Port Pirie.  He has been in the Army since December, 1940.
