John Samson WEARNE was born in Ladock, England in 1883

His parents were John Samson WEARNE & Rebecca FRANCIS who married in Victoria, Australia in 1872 - the family returned to England after their daughter was born and his father returned to Australia in 1911 - Rebecca died back in England

He was said to be 36 and the son of John Samson Wearne and Rebecca Wearne, of Hall St., Eaglehawk, Victoria, Australia.
He is honoured on the war memorial in Ladock, Cornwall. Ladock (Cornish: Egloslajek) is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is about six miles (9.5 km) north-east of Truro.
