Corporal Kevin James Taylor (Service No:SX18469) enlisted in the AIF on 9 May 1942 as a Private attached to 108 Anti Tank Regiment. Corporal Taylor was attached to 29 Australian Anti Tank Battery at Discharge on 14 May 1946. Brother Frank also served in WWII.

Kevin was born in 1922 in Adelaide, South Australia, third of four children of Augustine James Taylor (b1892 in Gilberton, South Australia) and Hannah Jane Higgins (b1887 in Mitcham Park, South Australia). Augustine and Hannah married in 1918 in Adelaide, where they settled and raised their family and Augustine was a Gardener.

Kevin was working in Adelaide as a Timekeeper in 1942 when he enlisted in the Army and, following his Discharge, was working as a Carrier in Adelaide in 1950 when he married Phyllis Josephine Brady (b1924 at Henley Beach, Adelaide, South Australia). Kevin and Phyllis settled in Adelaide, where they raised their family. Kevin died in 1983 and Phyllis in 2009.
