Old Uncle Ken - big ears, big hooter!
Uncle Ken was a beaut old fella, my earliest memory in my life.... (and I will be 60 next June 2016,) is Uncle Ken's farm at Lock on the West Coast and Del Shannon singing "Runnaway" on Auntie Ona's Bakelite radio in the kitchen.....about 1950 something.
Salt of the earth people and forever made us city slickers welcome if ever we had the opportunity to visit. I have always wished to be a farmer, ended up wool classing, to get back out where I thought I belonged - you never shake it off ......living in Adelaide.... I have since been back to the Lock Cemetary and spoken to both Auntie Ona & Uncle Ken just to say thank you and pass on my whole families love for the magic memories - especially cooking and eating the lamb tails back in the 50's.
Pity about that accident in the Chrysler 2 door you had Uncle Ken - I would kill to get my hands on that old Valiant today! God Bless.......you both.
photo of Uncle Ken soon..../ when Gael get off her bum and sends one to me!
