Son of Mr and Mrs A PARK of Esplanade, Henley Beach, SA. Married and residing at 31 Pickering Street, Brompton, Albert was educated at Prospect Public School. He conducted a bakery business for several years on Port Road Allenby Gardens and delivery was done by horse drawn carts. Private Park was very fond of his horses. At the outbreak of war, he sold his business and tried to enlist but failed and went to work for the Golden Crust Bakery for 12 months. He was later accepted into the services in September 1941.
