Mrs Jean Lorna Dodson nee McKenna was awarded a Life Membership of the RSL.  Her service to the sub branch included President 77,78,81,82; Vice President 80, Secretary 83,84; Treasure 59,60,61,62.  she also servec as a State Councillor 1985-86, and the Hospital visitor, Social committee of the Returned Sistors,  and a badge seller.  Co-ordinator Pageant of Nursing History. Member of the Mothers Club sturt, Primary school president 1955 to 1959; Marion Club Sturt Primary School president 1955-59; Marion Council Oval Committee 1954-64; Marion Women's Bowling Club foundation president 1958. Presented Perpetual Shield played annually between marion Edwardstown and Ascot Park Women's Bowling Clubs.  Jean was the Patroness of the Marion Women's Bowling club also served inn the same capassity for the RSL Women's Bowling Club 1976 to 86.  Joan formed the Marion Stewarts Marching Girls 1958, sghe was the caperone 1958 to 62 of the western zone Championships 1961 to 63.  She was a committee member of the marion District bush Nursing Society 1950-56 and secretary 1958-62.  Joan was elected mayoress of marion 1962 to 64.  Legacy Camp Sister with Sister D Campbell 1977 to 1986. A committee member of the Occupational medicine and Health Nurses 1973-74 and the Australian  and New Zealand Society Occupational Medicine.  Committee member of the Royal Australian Nursing Federation Occupational Health Nurses 1972 to 1974.
