WW2 - Served in  the Army - in 8th Army (British), 9th Division, 2/48th Battalion (Australian) and 60th Construction Battalion (American) and was involved in battles at El Alamein, Milne Bay, Sattleburg, Finschaeffen and Tarakan- discharged Apr 1946.
