Personal Stories
2/24 Infantry Battalion
I am sure that Fred Peters (SX13296) was in No 2 Platoon with Lieutenant McNamara, MC and they with my uncle Jack Taylor Holman MM (SX11128) captured Company 621 a German Wireless Intercept Unit by the sea near Tel el Eisa, Egypt 10 July 1942. I met with Fred in the late 1990's and he told me stories about my late uncle who was KIA 26th Oct 1942 Battle of El Alamein.
