Killed in Action
Advice has been received that Lieutenant A. G. Pickering, of Linden Park, has been killed in action in New Guinea. When he enlisted in the A.I.F. more than two years ago he was secretary of the State Disabilities Committee. He was 34. He joined the Statistical Office in 1925, and later transferred to the Treasury. He was a qualified accountant. Earlier in the war he served in the Middle East. He leaves a widow, who is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. A. E. Botting, of Tusmore.
