Biography

Pte. Wally Sims AIF of Wilmington aged 28. Son of Mr and Mrs H S Sims of Wilmington. Educated at Wilmington Public School. Fond of all sport. Very popular and had many friends. In civil life was for eight years in Laura as a butcher and then employed by the BH Pty Ltd for three years and later went to Inneston. Enlisted in April 1941 and saw service in the Middle East. Returned to Australia in March 1942 and sent to New Guinea where he died of wounds received in action on December 2 1942.
