Herbert james Edwards was awarded a Life Membership of the RSL in 1982. His work for the Aron Bay Sub Branch included serving as president 1959, 65, 1971 to 81 as teasurer 1961,62,63 and on the committee 1960 to 1982. He was also a member of the Aron Bay ANZAC Day Committee, Organised the RSL Bowls Tornament. He was the Legacy Liasioni Officer for the Sub Branch. Herbert was also well repected by the town.
