Son of Mr and Mrs Walter NICOL of Uraidla, SA.

Husband of Pearl NICOL of Uraidla, SA with one son and one daughter.  Educated at Uraidla Public School he was fond of football and was the captain of the Uraidla Team.  In 1928 he won both the Club and Association medals for best and pluckiest player.  In civilian life he was gardening on his father's property, and for two years before enlisting he was employed by Mr. M. Cummins, butcher.  He has a cheery nature and is very popular.  Allan enlisted in April 1941 and his brother Harley James NICOL is also serving in the 2nd AIF.
