Son of Oliver and Alice Emma Baker, of Lameroo SA. Educated at Lameroo Public School, Lindsay lived a roving life working at various occupations. Residing at 18 Second Avenue, Forestville, he was keen on hunting and kangaroo shooting. He enlisted in February 1941, and left for overseas in the April, taking part in the Desert campaign and also at Tobruk. He was wounded in action on 3rd August 1941 and died of his wounds on 8 days later on August 11. His family were pioneer residents of Lameroo.
