Rupert Richard Niland married Lois Hilda Ladbrook daughter of Walter William Ladbrook of the 9th Light Horse. They had four children Douglas, Richard, Julia and Christine. Fourteen Grandchildren Michelle, Annette, Scott, Leah, Kylie, Jai, Daniel, Torie, Hayley, Amara, Lisa, Natalie, Simon and Meagan and many great grand children.
