Private Ronald Ernest Bowen died in the Hawker Hospital on Friday from injuries received when he was struck by a train at the Hawker railway station on Thursday afternoon. It is believed that he was attempting to board the train after it had started to move, caught his foot in a rail, and was unable to get clear of the train. Mounted Constable Gelly of Hawker will submit a report to the coroner. Private Bowen was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Bowen, of Mount Lofty
