OBITUARY.
Late W. J. Wiseman.
The death occurred at Daws Road Military Hospital, on Sunday morning of Mr William John (Jack) Wiseman, after several weeks illness.
The late Mr Wiseman who was 35 years of age was born and educated at Cowell being the second son of Mr and Mrs W Wiseman. Jack was well liked, and very popular in his employment at the Franklin Harbour Hotel.
He served in the last war with the 2/27th batallion and saw active service in the Middle East and New Guinea and his early demise was the outcome of war effects.
He leaves a widow and one small daughter (Lesley) and a stepson Peter, for whom the deepest sympathy is extended. Mrs W Tucker of Mt Bryan is a sister, Messrs Len and Doug of Cowell are brothers of deceased.
The deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs Wiseman in her bereavement also to Mr and Mrs W. Wiseman senr, parents of deceased.
The funeral took place at the Springbank Centennial Park Cemetery when the large number of floral tributes bore ample testimony of the exteem in which deceased was held.
