Medals: 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Pacific Star, Defence medal, War medal, Australian service medal

Wife: Gwenda Mary Hickey Children: 7 sons & 4 daughters

His life revolved around his family and the Riverside Football Club and he was made a Life Member in 1974. He was also involved with the Port Adelaide Juniors.
