Died on this date - 10th February........Private Donald McIntosh was born at Ascot Vale, Victoria in 1892. He enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 29th May, 1916 as a 24 year old Groom from Sydney, NSW.

Private McIntosh arrived in England on 28th December 1916 with the 7th Reinforcements of 53rd Battalion. He was posted to 14th Training Battalion, Camps 11 & 12 at Hurdcott, Wiltshire on 10 January 1917. He was admitted to Hospital on 17th January, 1917 with Influenza.

Private Donald McIntosh died at 8 a.m. on 10th February, 1917 from Pneumonia at Military Hospital, Fovant, Wiltshire. He was buried in the churchyard of St. Edith’s at Baverstock, Wiltshire where 28 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
