Married Laura Adelaide Parker at Adelaide South Australia 7 December 1940. --Other Fields DSCR: Gordon had heart bypass surgery in 1996. A pacemaker was fitted at the same time. In May 1997, he contacted pneumonia and his kidneys failed. He was admitted to Royal Adelaide Hospital on 17 May 1997 and died at 10.30pm on 18 May 1997. He had requested that no artificial support be used tp prolong life.
