Frank Bennell was a Private in the 8th Ambulance Corp. and present at El Alamain during the battle for Ruin Ridge. Frank was a Baptist Minister and a good friend to many including Laurie Storr (WX11707). Frank is named on the honour role at the Terowie Institute (where his name is misspelt, please see separate RSL Virual War Memorial details for F. Benell). He was a young minister at the Baptist Church ('Sunny Brae') near Terowie, South Australia and later in Adelaide, and Dromana, Victoria amongst others.
