    30 Nov 1940: Involvement Australian Army (Post WW2), Private, SX8279, 2nd/27th Infantry Battalion, Middle East / Mediterranean Theatre, Saw action in the Middle East until the Prime Minister of Australia recalled the 2nd/27th Battalion in 1942 to depend our shores from the Japanese who were advancing through Papua New Guinea. Sydney Adams was one of the many soldiers who fought on the Kokoda Track in PNG in 1942 and successfully pushed the Japanese out of PNG.
