Son of Charles and Bertha Jane PLENTY of 18 Eighth Street, Bowden, SA. Educated at Hindmarsh School he was fond of swimming and played football for Brompton Club. In civilian life he worked at Renovial Rubber Works Adelaide for several years. Enlisted in June 1940 and left Australia in December 1940 for the Middle East and saw service in all sectors including Tobruk and Syria. His brother C PLENTY was in the Great War serving in the 43rd Battalion and won the Military Medal in May 1918.
