Son of Mrs Mary Ann BEES and the late Jorge KEELAN of Adelaide, SA. 

Husband of Kathleen KEELAN

Married with three sons and residing at 171 Port Road, Brompton, Edward was educated at Sturt Street School Adelaide.  He played cricket for the Australian Glass Company team and was secretary of this club.  In civilian life he worked at the Australian Glass Company at Kilkenny for fourteen years as an operator and enlisted in June 1940.  He left Australia in November 1941 for the Middle East and was killed in Syria about the 4th June 1942 within one day of the death of his Captain L Rudd.
